In the mid to late1940's Charles Tunnicliffe created
artwork for advertisements by 'Boots the Chemist',
all based on collective nouns for animals and birds.
Tunnicliffe also created more than twelve oil paintings, and these
were used for colour advertisments in magazines such as The Field.
'Boots'also reproduced twelve of these images as a 1949 calendar.
